Platform Petroleum to speak in London Conference
Platform Petroleum Limited will participate fully and also present a keynote paper in the upcoming Africa Small & Marginal Oil Fields Development Conference scheduled for 17 -18 August 2016 at Crowne Plaza, the City, London. It is expected that Platform Petroleum super delegation will be led by its Board Chairman, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs. It also includes the company’s Group Managing Director – Emma Opute Konyebagu and Osariemen Owiedalor – Managing Director.
Platform Petroleum was among the indigenous companies in Nigeria that were awarded marginal fields in 2004 in fulfillment of the Federal Governments desire to engage local operators in the development of the country’s oil and gas resources. Platform Petroleum Limited Operators of the Umutu, Umuosele-Ebedei, and Akoku-Unor oil fields, known as the Egbeoma Field located in the Northern Niger Delta of Delta State is wholly owned by Nigerians.
The company was the first to attain First oil and initiated major step towards actualizing Federal Government’s compliance in flare out policy through the building of Umutu Gas plant. Currently, Platform Petroleum produces on average basis 2000 BOPD.
About the Board Chairman:
Chief Dumo Lulu Briggsis a lawyer by training. He attended Ahmadu Bello university Zaria where he graduated with LLB (hons) degree in 1985 and capped it with a master’s degree (LLM) ( London) in 1987. He has 6 Years’ experience in Private Legal Practice (1988 - 1994), he has attended local and international seminars and conferences in the course of his practice, and a member of the Nigerian bar association.(NBA).
He piloted and coordinated the functions and activities of Moni Pulo Limited (an independent oil and gas producing company) as the General Manager & Pioneer Executive Director/COO from 1995 to 2002 and currently the Managing Director of DLB Concerns Ltd
